Can I choose my own smash repairer, or do I have to use my insurer’s?
In NSW you can ask your insurer to use the repairer of your choice. Many policies include choice of repairer. Tell your insurer you’d like Bailey Smash Repairs and we’ll handle it from there.
Do I pay an excess if the accident wasn’t my fault?
No. If another driver was at fault and they’re identified, we claim the repair from their insurer, so you don’t pay an excess.
How long will my repair take?
It depends on the damage and parts availability. Minor repairs often take a few days; larger collision repairs take longer. We’ll give you a timeframe when we assess the car and keep you updated.
Can I get a quote without bringing the car in?
Yes. Send us a few photos through our online quote form and we’ll give you an estimate. For insurance claims, the insurer may also want an assessment.
Will using an independent repairer void my new car warranty?
No. Under Australian Consumer Law, using an independent repairer doesn’t void your new car warranty, as long as the work is done properly. We repair to manufacturer specifications.
